Having been concerned over new variants of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, Ninh Binh province is tightening measures to keep the COVID-19 pandemic at bay as Tet (Lunar New Year) - the biggest and longest festival of Vietnamese people - is approaching.
The Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control of Ninh Binh province held a meeting on July 19 to launch some key tasks to prevent and control the pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been developing complicatedly, with hundreds of new infections detected in dozens of provinces and cities nationwide. Fortunately, Ninh Binh province has to date recorded no positive cases but it is still facing a high risk of COVID-19 outbreaks. To actively prevent the pandemic, relevant agencies, sectors and units in the province have been carrying out measures to curb the potential spread of COVID-19 in the community.
